Well, I don't think we really do need to know (the) reason for our existence. And probably there isn't
one to know. Of course, scientists know the causes for the existence of many things, and so do you.
The general answer is, by thinking about them. Take a look at 1 above. That's an example of trying
to answer a philosophical question. Of course, sometimes, there is no answer. We cannot assume
there always is an answer to every question. Moreover, sometimes philosophers only think they have
asked sensible questions when they really have not. The question, why do we exist may be one of
those. Philosophers have learned to examine the question before trying to answer it.
