I have been asked to study the effects of Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil on Ethics for my A-level
coursework. Our teacher has given us some information about emotivism, prescriptivism, cultural
relativism and subjectivism, but I am not sure I will be able to write enough about just these areas. I
am unusually succinct! Are there any other general areas of 20th century ethical philosophy that may
have been influenced in some way by Beyond Good and Evil ? If you could give me their names I'll do
the research myself!

Well, Phil, I teach Yr 12 (like A levels) philosophy, and I could write a book just about cultural
relativism. But you could try looking at Iris Murdoch for ideas of good. Do you need counterexamples
to Nietzsche? Try Martin Luther King Jr. Of course, I'm assuming you've looked at Sartre? Good luck
with it!
