Anthony Harrison-Barbet was educated at St Albans School and the universities of Dublin (Trinity), Gottingen, Oxford (Magdalen), and Sussex. After many years teaching in schools and universities in England and Ireland he is now an 'independent scholar'. He is the author of Mastering Philosophy, Thomas Holloway: Victorian Philanthropist, and E. H. Visiak: Writer and Mystic; and is currently researching for a book on philosophical anthropology — Culture and the Human Condition.
